How to use WhatsApp status mention feature
WhatsApp has introduced new Status mention features to improve user WhatsApp status mention features interaction:
Private Mentions: Users may mention up to five people in each status. These mentions are private and not visible to other viewers. The mentioned person receives a private notification.
Tagging Process: To tag someone in a WhatsApp Status on Android, open WhatsApp, go to the Status tab, create a new status, type “@” followed by the contact name, and select the contact from the drop-down menu.
Additional Features: Tagged users can reshare the status. Only the tagged person will know they have been mentioned. These features are rolling out globally to make WhatsApp Status more engaging and personal.

Key Features:
Users can like a status by tapping a heart icon at the bottom right of the status.

View a friend’s status.
